Finding the right bra size can make a huge difference in comfort, support and how your clothes fit. The good news? You can measure your bra size at home in just a few simple steps.
What You’ll Need
- A soft measuring tape
- A mirror
- A non-padded bra or fitted top
Step 1: Measure Your Underbust
Wrap the measuring tape snugly around your ribcage, directly underneath your bust.
Keep the tape straight and comfortably snug - not too tight.
This measurement helps determine your band size.
Step 2: Measure Your Bust
Now measure around the fullest part of your bust. Keep the tape level across your back and relaxed around your bust.
This gives you your bust measurement.
Step 3: Find Your Bra Size
Your bra size combines your band size + cup size. The cup is generally determined by the difference between your bust and band measurements.
For example:
Band: 34 inches
Bust: 37 inches
Difference: 3 inches → approximately a C cup
So your starting size would be 34C.
Don’t Forget the Fit Check
Your measurements are a great starting point, but every bra can fit a little differently depending on its design and your shape. Check that the band feels comfortable, the cups sit smoothly and the straps stay comfortably in place.
The right bra shouldn't just fit your measurements - it should feel like it was made for you.
